He only had about 200 yards receiving last year. Hopefully this kid is a late bloomer. I'm sure if we offered this early though, we saw something we liked.

The team total only had 71 receptions & 11 tds. Cameron had 21 receptions & 3 tds. Once their starting QB quit around the 4th game they had 0 passing game. It's a reason they had to resort to Willie Gay running the wildcat 40 times a game the last 2 or 3 games. If the kid is a legit SEC pass catcher I guarantee Chris Jones will be able to showcase him.
Did yall see Demetric Warren's crystal ball to State for Gerry Bohanon?
Saw this on twitter.

And where he visited on March 7.

Would be a huge get. 4* Tackle. Any chance?
Paul Jones says these are the numbers we project to sign at each position for 2018. I added the names as my guesses.
You add your guesses.
QB 1 - Jalen Mayden
RB 1 - Jarveon Howard, but I like La'Damian Webb better
WR 3-4 - Malik Heath, Devonta Jason, CJ Bolar, Jammal Houston
TE 1-2 - Cameron Gardner,
OL 4-5 - Dolla Bill, Tramonda Moore, Jason Swann, Hayden Burton
LB 2-3 - David Reese, Will Robinson and Jett Johnson
DE 2-3 - Jaden Crumedy, Fabian Lovett, James Williams
DT/NG 1 - Jeffrey Johnson (also Jalen Cunningham if we can get him)
CB 2-3 - Jemaurian Jones, Eddie Smith, Nero Nelson
S 2-3 - Marcus Murphy, Esaias Furdge, Eddie Smith.
K 1 - Evan McPherson
I think we pass on Nik Hogan
QB - Jalen Mayden
RB - Jarveon Howard
WR - Malik Heath & CJ Bolar I feel the best about. Whop & Houston need to pull at least 1 of them
TE - Cameron Gardner
OL - Kwatrivous Johnson, Nik Hogan, we'll see on the next 2-3 but I don't expect any of the other 3 you named in the class
DL - James Williams, Fabian Lovett
OLB - Jaden Crumedy, Deuntra Hyman, Tahj Brown
ILB - Jett Johnson
CB - Jemaurian Jones, Jaylon Reed, Nero Nelson
S - Esaias Furdge, Marcus Murphy
K - Evan McPherson
Of course this won't be the signing class but I feel pretty good about these guys right now.
Do you think Kameron Jones at Starkville ends up getting an offer?
I wish it would show my edited post instead of my original post.
You don't see us getting Jeffrey Johnson? I do.
Do you have any info on David Reese? We have to lead for him with Stewart Reese here.
As of right now I don't see us getting Jeffrey. If Elliss gets in this summer we really don't need a NG in this class.
If Reese decides early it's FSU or Miami. The longer it goes the better our chances. I'm pretty sure they're dad or both parents went to FSU so they've grown up going to FSU. The reason we got Stewart was because FSU got a big time prospect & it left Stewart with no slot. If David waits til December or January I think the same thing happens & we end up with him.
Is Johnson going out of state? It's a shame we don't even stand a chance with the elite in state guys.
What's the latest feel on Shaq Wiggins? Is this a sure thing, or do we have to ride out a selection process?
Evan McPherson commits! Highly rated kicker with offers from Miami, army, Kentucky, Nebraska, Iowa state, and Rutgers. Yay!
Any reason why a Texas writer CB'd Malik Heath to fsu? Found that kinda random and thus concerning
According to CBs, looks like jalen mayden will be our QB in this class. Is he our #1 or are trying to get someone else more?
I will put this out there...
Long shot but we could have a new addition when fall practice kicks off..
It's a WR ..
I would say Shaq is > 50/50 he ends up in Starkville . He is far from a long shot
I think Shaq is definitely interested or I'm sure he would not go to the trouble to appeal the restrictions on his transfer. I think we would be very interested. I just hope his momma is not one of our coaches ex!***
I have no qualms w/ holding off Key's redshirt after watching Mayden's tape.
Obviously what sticks out is he'd be the fastest & most athletic QB Dan's had. Doesn't show the deep ball that Fitz or Key has, but can put it on the money on short to mid routes. Not to say he doesn't have a deep ball but his explosive pass plays are all busted coverage deep throws or underneath routes that break. Looks like he plays in a system similar to ours, & has experience behind a leaky OL so he should transition quickly. Not sure if he has the same interception rate but he reminds me of a more compact Marcus Mariota.
Still think Key would be the more effective short yardage runner but w/ Mayden's wheels I have to imagine he sees some package plays early to try & bust a big one. Put him in on our 5 wide QB draw & he's a missed tackle away from 6 anywhere on the field.
