The 2nd one definitely should have been a no call. Good first half. Got to put another one together to get the win.

How hard is it to say HERARD!?
It's not pronounced Herad? Is it????
All of you go get alcohol or something?
Sloppy second half for both teams so far.

Lamar apparently discovered Strange Brew. He has come ALIVE!
Peters needs to start over Ready. It's time.
We aren't close to being there yet, but it's coming... this is gonna be a very good basketball team by next season if not the end of this one
Our ball movement has been solid today. Best I've seen it in 5 years.
OK, got a question of the basketball knowledgeable: GS just had an intentional foul called on them, and it was legitimate. We got two shots, and then the ball. The question is ... near the end of the game, teams that are behind almost always start intentionally fouling in the hopes of the other team missing the FTs. Why are those not considered intentional fouls where the team that gets fouled keeps the ball?
We've got players. That isn't in doubt.
Late post but the announcers said in the first half State is the youngest team in Division one basketball (over 300 teams).
I hope Peters has got all the screwing up out of his system because he is going to be fun to watch.
My current assessment is that if either Q or Peters is on from 3 land, we will have a good chance to win any game..
If not... could get ugly quickly.
Wow, Q had an off game and we still win big. Pretty good game defensively and on the boards from Keglar too.
We are hot from 3 but this isn't a sustainable plan. Way to many 3's without any attempt of working it inside.
That many 3s could turn into fool's gold for these youngins.. But Lamar.. WE ACCEPT YOUR APOLOGY
Problem is we kinda have to live and die by the 3 right now. All our big guys are either stretch 4's or not experienced enough to be comfortable working inside yet. Herard might get there late in the year, and Ado and Brooks will hopefully help out there next year, but until then we'lol have to be a mostly jump shooting team.
Did you guys watch the game or are just commenting on how many threes we shot? We penetrated the zone and when we didn't have anything worked it back out to the perimeter for open looks which we will bury a lot of the time. We also worked it down low to Herard and Holman but Holman got in foul trouble early. Herard had at least 7-8 points today on feeds to the post. How we worked our offense today is how you beat a zone. It wasn't as if we jacked up threes at the beginning of the shot clock. Ask Bayoudog. He understands that we had great ball movement today and did awesome on our zone offense. Best ball movement and working our offense I have seen us do all year.
With Q and Peters both missing games we haven't been at full strength except a handful of games and Stapleton will be back at some point. We'll have some tough games but it sure is fun to be good and know we will get even better.
It's a very sustainable plan. We shoot open 3's. It's not like we're hitting fade aways as the clock expires. We're spreading the court and moving the ball quick to get open looks. Good teams hit a high percentage of open shots and great teams know how to find open shots.
We are better coached right now than I've ever seen us in our half court offense. The kids on this ran have a high basketball IQ and you can't undervalue that. We're good and we're going to challenge some folks in the SEC and the SECT
Might as well get used to it. We are going to shoot a bunch of 3s. But guess what we have players that can shoot a high percentage. We aren't just jacking up threes we are setting up threes. Important to keep down turnovers. Fewer turnovers means more shots.
Until we develop an inside game this is what you are going to see. As was pointed out, we are working to get OPEN threes and have guys that can HIT them so it's not as bad a plan as it was the last few years.
Exactly. No one's saying we just jacked 3's last night. We had a good gameplan to break their zone and get open shots. It doesn't change the fact that we don't have a particularly threatening inside presence right now, and can't rely on playing inside out if we're having a cold shooting night.
The game has changed to where 3 point shooting is not a terrible plan. We will improve down low. Herard needs to work on his hands. Datcher needs to just get in there and bang and I'm happy.
I'm very pleased with how Holman is coming along. He provides us with different dimensions Ware didn't have.
Our guard play is just going to be nasty by years end.
It's not a bad plan at all. The most advanced basketball offenses right now are concentrating their shots on those right at the basket and those at the 3-point line. Those are the two most efficient shots in basketball, assuming you can hit them at a reasonable %.
Last I checked Villanova won a national championship with said plan last year.
