Dawgs vs Gators Thread

We're getting our ass whipped, again. Y'all can pump all the sunshine you want, but it's not good to go into Regionals this way.

Last night and tonight has been humbling. I don't expect to see us in Omaha. Our best 2 pitchers have looked average at best vs good competition

Get Sexton out and empty the pen. NOW is when you get guys ab's and innings on the mound. Once it's over

Not looking good is an understatement ... we're getting killed at the moment. We might come back, but it doesn't seem likely at all. They just don't look good (although they're getting good "wood" on the ball).

I know we had high expectations coming into this tourney, but some of you guys need to take a Xanax or something. We won the SEC championship. Yes, I wanted us to win the tourney as well coming into the week, but this tourney is meaningless. Cohen is using this week to get reps for guys who haven't had many in a while, which will give us a much better chance of making a deep run in the real tourney. Step away from the ledge, guys. We are an elite team this year, and will prove it in the next couple of weeks.

True, and the big field in Omaha will play to our disadvantage just like Hoover. It's opposite of the way it used to be for us.

We are only down 4 runs against a guy we absolutely destroyed on their home field. I'm not giving up on this one, yet.

Nobody's on the ledge. If you're expecting rainbows and butterflies in a game thread where we're getting hammered...may want to check out. No sense in playing "negative police" in a game thread. It will get you nowhere. Just saying.

Let people vent, & everyone will be ready to roll for Regionals with restored optimism

Haha, negative police? Did I somehow wind up on Gene's page?

I know people want to vent. That's fine, vent away, but I am a positive guy and will refute points which I think are incorrect or misguided.

That's always been Mangum's primary weakness.

Bad gamble to take with 2 outs there. Freshman mistake.

Base running error by Mangum ... not common. And it takes us out of the inning and a likely score.

We play like we try to get back on the field as quick as possible.

Well ... I guess so ... but he doesn't do it every game. But this was one of the worst by him or anybody else.

Everything we hit is right at them. They have 8 slow bouncing basehits. Frustrating.

Yeah Chris Burke mentioned last night that he is playing to shallow and not able to cut some of those balls off getting through the the holes.
