Would you mind practicing your venting on your dog. If you don't have a live dog perhaps you could practice venting by using iPhone Notes or some similar app! Venting in public is for sissies.

My sentiments exactly. You and Starkvegas have reiterated what several of us were talking about post game. Stand there and get hit?? There were a couple of weird sacks...and if Dak takes off like he normally would he would at least have the ability to slide or get down. But bottom line..as you said...let her rip! Playing cautiously lends to injuries like this.

If he and the coaching staff are thinking about holding him out and making sure he was 100% ready for LSU, which is VERY possible, you'd never in a million years come out and say that...what message does that send to the rest of the team, the other team, how much does it change up USA and LSU's preparation (not knowing what QB to gameplan for)...if the coaching staff is thinking that (which they probably are), never, EVER say it. CDM "controls the message" in situations like this better than I've ever seen.
Far from boned, and even if he doesnt play against UAB i doubt he misses more than a game. If it was something more severe it would be out already.
As mentioned..Damian should be able to beat UAB, defense might have to make sure they hold them to 10 or less to be safe...which im hoping for already.
I'm not worried about UAB even without Dak. I am worried about LSU, A&M, Auburn, Alabama and Ole Miss.
The first thing I'm going to do when I see Josh is ask him who has been handing him the ball this week, and that will develop my opinion.
God knows. The thread says that Dak may or may not be available Saturday because truly nobody knows if he's hurt or not and if he is hurt, how bad it is.
But all you guys seem to be able to do is assume that Dak is hurt and that it is serious.
Also, Bafoom has already told us that if Dak is hurt that we have Damien who is the same exact QB just with less hype so we all know we will be ok either way now.**
When did the board take a trip back to Junior high lingo?

I believe this is the hit that Dak got hurt on.

This thread is ridiculous.
So what if Dak tweaked his ankle or something. All indications is that IF there is an injury, he will be fine in a week or two and we will continue as always. We will still destroy UAB with Damian, Robinson and the best defense in the conference. That goes for USA too. No need to play Dak if it's something that could become a serious injury with a bad hit
I don't mind him not taking off and running... It's really a catch 22. What would you be posting if he ran a TD in in the 3rd quarter and broke a vertebrae like Bryce Petty last weekend?
We will be fine, Dak will be fine, the season will still go on if we play UAB without him this week.
As for Bear, how injured could he be? He had a sick TD catch AFTER his "injury".
Everyone needs to chill, we will be good to go by the LSU game
Late last night David Murray responded to the Dak question by saying, "Without saying yea or nay on the guy in question, I'll remind that P.J. Jones wore a boot around campus from mid-August through the bowl game. Started 11 games anyway. Last week Kaleb Eulls came to the mid-week presser in a boot, started the opener as usual."
I think Mullen has put the kibosh on the media and players from saying anything, but, if you read between the lines, I think it's clear whats going on: Something happened in the game and Dak got banged up. Nothing serious, and he could play if needed, However, with who we are playing this weekend, he is questionable,
Paul has said similar things as Dave.
Dave posted this on the free board. Not premium content
Dak was not hurt during the game. It is a minor thing that happened in practice. Could he play Saturday sure he could but if he's less than 100% say 80-85% & you can give him an extra weeks rest & still handily win a game then why not? I know we're all sensitive when it comes to Dak but everything is & will be ok. We've held guys out of games before against lesser opponents to heal some nicks & bruises this would be the same thing.
Last year our starting qb was hurt for the 2nd game and we officially burned the redshirt of our true freshman qb. So get ready all you Fitzgerald fans because he could play this week.
Also, Mississippi State football just retweeted a tweet from Dak wishing his mom a happy birthday. The guy's got a lot on his mind today. I hope, for his sake not ours, he's not adding to it by having to deal with an injury.
I think Dak plays for at least a quarter. Mullen would hate to ruin Dak's draft status by having him labelled as injury prone. Play the kid and let him get two TDs then sit him and let Damien take over. Ankle sprains are not the end of the world. Tape it up.
With basically 2 years left before he has to think about pro ball I'm pretty sure Dan doesn't care at all about Dak's draft status.
I expect to see him for a quarter or so. We will try to score two to three TD's with him in and then let him sit. If he's been practicing then there really is nothing to worry about guys.
Wearing a boot might be a style choice, we don't know. Speculation is bad so let's just wait until there is word (there won't be) or we see Damian trot out to take the first snap against LSU.
Scouts will definitely look at how many times Dak answered the bell. Sitting out for minor injuries would raise major red flags. It doesn't matter when it was. You do realize that Dak is a junior and COULD go its year if things go well right? Ask yourself if you think that Tebow or Relf ever played with a minor injury. We know Relf was playing with banged up ribs. Ain't no ankle keeping Dak out of a game!
It really is amazing how stupid the internet can be. Neither Robbie nor you know anything about what's going on. The amount of wannabes on the net these days, especially regarding MSU sports, is staggering. This board especially, took a hit on reputation yesterday. 247 seems to be following suit.
Lost in the referee collision talk is the closing speed from Tubby. Tubby was pretty far away from the path of that ball and then he turned and went for it. Came out of nowhere to get in the collision.
I think the ref prevented a worse collision from happening. The ref was a crash test dummy between two oncoming cars.
It proved how uninformed the boards really are. Or maybe I just know the right people. Most times, if you really know something that could possibly be sensitive information, you don't post it on message boards. When the news broke yesterday, it was very entertaining to see the rumors swirl, especially when I knew what had happened.
All you have to hear is that the man is practicing to know that whatever it is is not serious. Can we lock this thread and all other threads like it until after the game Saturday mods?
(leave the Dak Injury Update thread though lol)
