Grisham got sideways with the university when Polk would not give his son a spot on the roster in the early 00s, and no Ben Grisham was not his son. I know Ben and he was John’s nephew but John’s son was not on the team. He got sideways with Ole Miss on the same subject. UVA needed funding at the time and Grisham was willing to cut a hell of a check. However, Grisham and O’Conner got sideways on a completely different issue about 10-12 years ago and so Grisham does not really help them in terms of funding anymore.Quote:

They can gather all they want. Money is not the issue and never was. They let us pitch him on funding, facilities, etc and it was over. They had their chance and were too laissez faire with it because they just figured he would stay.Quote:
