Nah. Pack it in, take the run rule, and get back to Starkville. Just bullpen it. No need to risk a good arm getting hurt in a game you are not going to win.

McPherson should be used in the regional though. Forget trying to get a few innings... just send him out there for an inning firing his best fastballs.

How about catch a routine ground ball and routine fly ball?

Not too much to ask

When you put people on it?s more pressure on the pitcher.

That inning totally on errors , imo.

And we would not with a 3 seed? We have an ace and we are going to be a 3 seed. So will a lot of other 3 seeds. Hell back in 16 we ran into Joey Luchessi and SEMO was a 4 seed

The only important thing going on with our baseball team is the coaching search anyway. The timing is imperative for the hire. Need to try to have that wrapped up just after we exit the regional tournament. Then work on retaining the most important pieces and recruiting the rest.

I'm not too worried about seeding. Another good thing about being an SEC team is we will be in a regional with no other SEC teams.

It's baseball. You never know. Pico could come back fresh against a 2 seed. And Siary could shove again against a 1 seed.

I actually think it is worse if we win honestly. We needed a game to get skunked to quiet the promote Parker crowd.

That was never going to happen. You are always going to have a vocal minority of the fanbase that is really dumb.

Unfortunately there were also some dumbass boosters, the promote Arnett crowd, also wanting to give him the job. We needed a game like this
