That was a good call on the td but Penn State's overall play calling is not good. If the offensive coordinator they fired was worse than this he must have really sucked.
They are running the Saban 4-2-5 today. Been 3 high all year. We will do the same I think. It?s good stuff but you better be able to stop the run with 1 less number or you gotta get out of the base look. OM tried early on and couldnt. Started putting the Nickel in the box to even numbers.Quote:

It is just hard to get as enthusiastic about these bowl games when a lot of the top players on the teams opt out. It is a good thing they decided to expand the playoff because it just gets worse and worse each year.
Well they did throw it 26 times and completed 14, but all were short passes except for the uncovered TE pass that essentially wrapped it up. Arnett decided not to give them anything deep so they threw it underneath. Dart missed on all 4 deep balls he threw against State. He just missed on them.
