He may. I'm saying his name or rating right now isn't going to scare off other big time QB's.

Greek is a great get for Leach. Very undervalued with a very high ceiling. May well end up as a high 3* or 4* star when it's over. Like someone said on the general discussion board, if Leach and Cutcliffe want him, that's good enough for me. Welcome to the family, Mr. Greek!
For those that have watched film on him, I would be interested to get some opinion on why he's currently ranked where he is.
Rankings mean something, but this early in the game they also don't matter to a degree. Would be interested in an opinion of why he's at where he is.
The separation between high 3 and almost all 4 star players is minimal at best
Just my take but
The LEAST of my worries going forward in football recurring with CML here is the QB position. He could be a walkon or 5*
Film won't show you the misses. Just the highlights. He had poor showings at camps too. Again, completion percentage and INTs.
How much of that was injury related is the question. I'm with the others, if Leach and Cut like him, he can't be bad. But is he the top guy for them? Doubtful.
Great so we have our ?official 2021 thread? and it?s already three pages long just on one player......
Gonna be a long ass thread. Question Shotgun, do you have an alarm set to ring every time someone replies to something you say? One and a half pages of this is thread is you!
I understand. When they updated the board they took away who started a thread. Normally I just skip yours but now I have to gamble when I click on a link. It just sucks this is the recruiting thread now.
Luke Altmyer just committed to Florida State.
Good. I don't think he was the answer for us. I feel like we have much better players on our board.
Isaiah Brevard just got whacked by 247 in their evaluation. Lowered him from a high 4 star to a 90 rated 4 star.
Sheesh
Yeah that's whack but honestly IDGAF. This kid is an absolute stud and he's the 2nd best player in the state for 2021, imo. He's barely behind Smith but Brevard is a borderline elite WR and with a year of college coaching, he will be an elite WR. Really hope we pull him plus Moore to go along with Buckhaulter and then grab an OOS WR if we can't pull Smith back in.

I have a feeling we are about to see a change in QB philosophy with Leach and we really are seeing it now. The days of having to have a dual threat are probably over. It's great if a kid can run. But Leach wants throwers of the football first. And if we want to win that's what his offense HAS to have.
He wants guys that are going to throw it and can think. Not guys that have relied on their feet to get them out of trouble. Guys that use their brain to get them out of trouble and can truly dissect a defense and act quickly. If a dual threat QB fits that mold then great. But Leach is gonna bring in guys who can fling it across the field first that can think their way out of situations.
Go all in on Sawyer I guess
I will say that I still think a dual threat is important at a place like MSU - we need guys that make something out of nothing sometimes, including with their feet. They don't have to be dynamic - just capable like Dak was.
This. It's not that he's not a take, he's just behind Robertson. I still don't think we pull Robertson. From what was explained to me, he's looking for a bigger spot but likes Leach. He's got some bigger offers too. Of course, he could be behind someone just like Keyes.
