If he's shooting around 1 attempt per game, that seems reasonable for that 3pt percentage? Sure, it'd probably be better if it's lower, but as much as he plays, it seems plausible that he ends up open for three late in the shot clock around once a game. Tolu is basically never going to end up with the ball outside the arc late in the shot clock unless it's just a loose ball that he chases down after a scramble.
Good point on Matthews shooting some as the shot clock expires. At the moment our best 3-point shooters are Hubbard at 33 for 82 (40.2%) and Taylor at 6 for 15 (40.0%). Shawn Jones, DJ Jeffries, and Trey Fort are all below 30%. I want to kick Jeffries whenever he shoots too many threes. In 2.5 years at MSU he is 79 for 288 (27.4%). If I was the opposition I would let Jeffries shoot open 3 pointers.
