I agree with what C34 said the other day, you don't dump your current coach at this late date unless you already have somebody that you want agreeing to take it. Unless we are totally incompetent (which is certainly possible), we are posturing and have a verbal agreement in place with someone if we have already decided to pull the trigger on letting Moorhead go.

I dont see how you dont make a change at this point. You have neutered your HC even more if you dont make a change at this point- and made it nearly impossible to hire assts for a lame duck.

I'm not sure how much that matters. If worse comes to worse we know Hud will take it so we have a safety net. It does seem like there is a lot of things pointing towards Napier though.

It does help if you are going to fire someone if you have a replacement but the off the field incidents trump that.

At least Cohen didn't extend him before the bowl. That may have been the difference. Definitely made it cheaper. Extension may have been contingent on a strong bowl showing or at least the terms of the extension could have been based on that. Needless to say Joe did everything wrong.
