With the 6 year comparison, are we talking about his last 6 yrs here when we were getting bounced in the 1st round with far greater than 1st round talent in the rare instances we made it or are we talking his last 6 coaching years period including when he was an assistant for 2 years because even other schools knew not to take a chance on him? Yes, we haven't made it yet but we had a pretty deep hole to dig out of after Ray and that's on nobody but Stricklin for taking a chance on a guy who clearly wasn't ready.

You can't act like Stans had no part in the death of our basketball program. This was (at the time) probably the worst job in the SEC, because of him. A total dumpster fire, and it wasn't going to get any better under him.

Anyone that thinks we should trade Stansbury for Howland right now is delusional. I don?t like the last two games but I?m excited for the future of our program.

Maybe. Another 20 point loss, and I can see South Carolina taking our spot. If South Carolina holds on vs auburn, their rpi will be better than ours

Today was are at worst a 2-seed in the NIT. Another loss won?t get us bounced out of it. That?s crazy

Stansbury made the tourney 6 of his 14 years. I think it is a very real possibility he would have made the tourney 1 of the last 6. AK made it 2 out of the last 6. Now would I trade howland for Stansbury? No

Stans is a great man. a GOOD not Great coach.. a GREAT recruiter. But could not control his teams.
He was FIRED because our team had become a dumpster fire and national embarrassment.

We might only go to the NIT this year but our team isn't full of trash players running the program and out of control.

I'm glad Stans has a HC job again and good luck to him, but as pointed out.. he's just proving what we all knew. Good coach only.

Spend more time in beautiful Scooba and less posting. Trash players or not, we are in the same position we were with Stans. Say anything else you want, but THAT is the only fact and what it boils down to.

Stands missed the NCAA’s his last 3 seasons and the team he had for 2013 would have made 4 straight. After that- with all the drug problems and such- it’s hard to say he certainly would have

It is not unrealistic that Georgia, South Carolina, LSU, and bama could finish with a higher rpi than us. I do not wanna lose 3 straight before selection.

It is an absolute fact we'd be farther ahead right now as a program if SS doesn't go rogue and hire the worst candidate outta a possible 10,000 candidates by hiring Rick Ray. I can say with 100% certainty I would rather have the coach at Madison Central instead of Ray and I know absolutely dick about the HC at MCHS. I'd take the freshman basketball coach at you pick it high school in Dallas, Texas over Ray.
