It’s a dumb situation for both parties regarding Mullen and Tennessee. If Mullen is successful there, he will bolt for a top five job like Kiffin did and won’t be there long at all. If he’s not, he will be fired in three years and essentially end his coaching career. His best bet is to make his $5-6 mil a year here and then bolt for a top five job when one opens up if that’s what he wants to do. Tennessee is a better job but it’s not so much better that he should leave his situation here to go there. I’d be insulted if he left us to go to Tennessee.
