LSU and Georgia routinely sign about 12-15 in state kids a year. There are roughly 30 SEC players in LA and probably 55-60 SEC players in GA. The talent is there, we should have to beat out other programs for them.
Our best teams have relied on out of state kids. 2014 - Dak, Jrob, Preston Smith, D'Runnya, Ross, Dillon Day, Clausell, and Redmond were all out of state kids.
We will live and die by out of state recruiting. Look at the in-state crop this year, not enough OL, not enough DL, not enough LB's, not enough CB's, you could sign the top 12 kids in state this year, and you would be RB heavy and not sign a dominant DL.
Personally I think the board focuses too much on the bears, but its a message board, to each his own. I know I didn't feel better leaving Davis Wade stadium after losing to south alabama because the bears are about to get hammered by the ncaa, but maybe im in the minority.
