I'm in a fantasy league in which you take teams from multiple sports (16 in total) and how those teams finish their seasons is how you score points.

This sounds awesome! I've always wondered if you could do a year long league (starting in January and ending in December obviously) where you draft different players from different sports and have a huge fantasy league.

Like there would be assigned values for how they score in their own game and you run a rotisserie to get a champion.

Ha...believe me, I'm always extremely relaxed.

But I do feel strongly about those facts I stated. And those feelings began when I was that age and realized that these teams weren't anywhere near upper tier and as I've gotten older all the reasons to dislike it have become clearer and clearer.

I don't like LLWS as compared to Dizzy Dean and others either, but until they out the DD national Championship on TV and start telling me about the mom who's watching her son play for the last few weeks of her life, then I'll continue to watch.

Man I'm just glad to be watching something without crazy politicians, riots or the crap that is regular tv. I'm a baseball junkie. . Been coaching Majors and Triple A travel teams the last 10 years and these little league teams aren't nearly at that level. Of course these aren't the best youth teams out there, but it's still entertaining and fun.

Do all of these kids have to live in the same county or something? I don't really know little league rules. I know that my 12 year old pitches from 50 feet so 46 is kind of ridiculous.

I think they start with 10 or something from a regular team but can add 1 or 2 along the way maybe. That's how AAU basketball used to work.

It has to do with whether you're playing open bases(runners can lead off) or closed bases(runners cannot lead off). At 12 years old if you play open bases(which all travel and some rec league teams play) the rubber is 50 feet from the plate and bases are 70 feet. In closed bases(little league and most rec leagues) they play closed bases where the rubber is 46 from the plate and bases are 60 feet.

Our team does fundraisers or kids can get sponsors. It requires the kids to work and go out and see people and learn how to market. So we teach them a little about how the real world works. Teaches them how to handle rejection as well.
