Not having a fall really stunted his development at 3B.

Absolutely- some guys start slow. The talent level on this team however guards against that. They arent going to be penciled in everyday like Rowdy was. We have guys on the bench that can be out there to perform when others arent. Once SEC play starts- we cant play guys that are going 2/12 on the weekend
Kirk is getting the start tomorrow on the mound
It was always funny with Rowdey because it always happened Auburn weekend, which probably wasn't a coincidence being he was from Auburn. He'd turn it around and be on fire for the rest of the season.
2018-Batting .191 going into the Auburn series. Goes 4-10 on the weekend and ends the season batting .321.
2019- Batting .167 going into the Auburn series. Goes 6-13(with an 0-3 Friday night) and ends the season batting .290
2021- Slump wasn't nearly as bad this year. He was hitting .286 going into the Auburn series. Goes 4-12 and ends the year batting .323
I mean.....we have a lot of talent in the OF positions. We can't keep an auto out in the game if we have uber talent behind him. I don't think anyone is suggesting just giving up on the kid but if you can't produce you need to sit for a game or two. This isn't like when we kept starting Tanner Poole. We have better options.
Nunnalee not in the lineup today but Teel is and he's actually been worse than Nunnalee. I tell you one thing, BOC had a quick hook with Milewski. He hasn't played in the last several games that I know of.
Sit him a game or two if you think that?s best for him. But do not sit him to get other guys in because you think they will perform better. In the long run, Teel is our best OF and he needs whatever is going to get him to that level as quickly as possible. So if that is ABs, you play him and let him play through it.
He is also still OBPing over .400, it is not as though he has been an auto out.
