Here's some context many of our fans don't get about the portal and MSU football.

There are 130+ teams in D1 football right now. There are only 16 SEC teams currently. That means that if you are a player looking to move up and play in the SEC there are only 16 openings max at whatever position you play on the offensive line. That's pretty attractive and means MSU is pretty attractive to portal recruits.

So we'll have a great QB without a supporting cast and who can't get to the playoffs as a result. Jerry will surely draft him.
