Either way. I ain't banning anyone for any score.
And unless we win, the site traffic will dive after Friday anyways as Basketball isn't surprising anyone to drive any excitement.

It's a completely different era now. It's much easier to fix holes on your team than back in the day when all we had were high school recruits and JUCO recruits. Hard to compare coaches from now to back in the day. It's much more about your ability to attract players and talent now.
The biggest things that people are criticizing Lebby for are mostly correctable in one offseason. I think we're very close to doing that this offseason- which is why I want (and expect) us to stay the course for now. If 2026 is more of the same I'm all for letting him go at that point. But with a combination of an easier schedule, more talent on the lines and some coaching changes on MSU's end on the defensive side that I expect to see happen I think we will be more than fine. Also won't have to deal with the Shapen vs KT BS by default as well.
Also, I would be extremely surprised and disappointed if this Egg Bowl turns out like 2008.
We could very well give up 45 but our offense is much better than it was in 2008 and is in the middle of the pack in the SEC. I just don't foresee us getting shut out like 2008. Plus, we're playing in Starkville this year, not Oxford like 2008.
The only team that has really completely shut our offense down this year so far has been Texas A&M and that was on the road with our offensive line in complete disarray.
You keep asserting this as fact, and I just don't think you can. First, there's just no way to say either way in the modern portal era. Case in point, this year turned out to be much easier than we expected.
However, if I had to predict whether next year would be easier or harder, I'd say harder, because we'll be playing 10 P5 games instead of 9, and we probably won't get to play both a 3-9 and a 2-10 team in that set like we did this year.
Gotta agree with you here. I'm willing to bet LSU and SC will be different teams next year. They will hit the portal hard and fill their weak spots. Bama is Bama. Texas is Texas. Oklahoma is Oklahoma. Vandy will be a wait and see but I imagine they don't plan to go anywhere after getting a taste of being really good. Auburn will probably be our easiest game but they could easily turn it around too. Mizz will be good. If Kiffin stays which I think he will.. well you already know.
Should start the season 4-0 but could also be 3-1. We have never played Minnesota before that I can remember, but they are middle.of the pack in the Big10 this year so that will not be a gimme game. As Todd said, the portal changes everything every year now. You never know.
Which is what we all need to do. Do I believe it will happen? No
In typical Mississippi State fashion we will have people that would rather be right than win. This board is actually pretty tame in regards to that. The others, not even a little.
It shouldn't matter who is right or who is wrong. We've all been wrong at times, and that is partly why we're not the football coach or AD at Mississippi State.
As the OP, (Not that it means much), I am good with this and will be the first to admit my error on Lebby long term if we win. I never called for Scooba to officially ban any ED either way. In the OP and my bumps to the thread, I stated a "voluntary" ban, (I wouldn't post for a week, changed from a month, if we upset OM). We get "Croomed", others may need to adjust their comments. Maybe, i should have put **** on my Thread name and my OP. Hail State, Beat OM!
Mike Leach was perfect for us because he got more out of less talent. This was MSUs money ball approach.
So far I'm good with Lebby because we're obviously much improved from last year's team. The players appear to give their best effort even when losing games they know they can't come back and win. Some of the game time decisions I think are because we're forced to try something different because of the talent difference.
Winning this year's Egg Bowl would be huge for us. We can show recruits we're putting the pieces together and heading in the right direction.
