We're not winning it, we're not hosting, and we don't need to blow all our arms in the attempt to do either.

My guess is that we'll see either Sullivan or Pruitt on Tuesday and whoever doesn't pitch on Tuesday will pitch on Wednesday if we win. If we make it to Friday, you treat it like a regular SEC weekend, albeit with a little shorter hook on your starters.

That's honestly the worst case. USM will make sure ZERO State fans get in the park. They do it every year.

2 teams hosting from the #9 power league? Only way is politics, cause Coastal is hosting whether they win it not. USM has s a regular host, there's no "growing the game" as the committee claimed last year when they attempted to throw new names in the mix. Crazier stuff has happened, but their RPI can only go up if they beat Coastal. Pretty much the rest of that league will hurt them. Also last time I looked Dallas Baptist had a higher RPI than USM. Meaning if they're going to award 2 mid majors then it would make way more sense to award it to Dallas Baptist.

I think they are all ok now. Was essentially a nothing burger and they likely laughed about it and never thought about that decision again.

I remember backlash from our fans but don't remember many outlets stepping up to the plate for those that didn't get the favorable nod.

Regardless if USM gets a regional or not, I don't believe we'd be in it. OM might, but we're going to travel. I think we're all just pissed we aren't hosting because Lemonhead 17'd us.

I highly doubt we play tonight. They may end up starting the game though and then delaying. I think that probably played into our decision to start McPherson.
