I get it but it still sucks knowing we won?t realistically ever compete in the sports the money is being allocated to now.

Ok, great, then let's just suck or be no more than mediocre at everything. The ONLY sport on campus that we should be toward the top of the league on a routine basis is baseball. We will never be routinely toward the top of the league in football or basketball and if we had a coach in those sports that did that they would be on the next bus out of town anyway. And we would go right back to the bottom. We have talent now in baseball but it's obviously poorly coached and we don't play with a drive to win. If we are not going to emphasize winning in baseball then it's pretty clear we are satisfied in athletics just trying to be somewhat competitive in everything but elite in nothing. Our baseball program should be elite now and long after Selmon has left for a different job.
I have been attending games since early 80s. Girls went where boys were. Dont remember to many worried about score or outcome. Boys went to watch baseball or hang out with those who did. Dont think that has changed. As long as program is competitive then a lot people will be there to support the team and be at big event. Some more serious with wins and losses but most there to enjoy the social aspect. So it is a big social event and everyone is even happier when Dawgs win.

Ok for sure back in the day it was somewhat a social event or like tailgating. But I also remember me and my buddies would live and die on every pitch. As did most around us. I help start leftfield lounge. My pickup most of the time was dead center leftfield backed up to the fence. This was the Bruce Castoria era and before the rigs and permanent spots were established. I still have a home run ball hit by Bruce that crashed thru the back windshield of my truck.
Then years later I owned 4 seats behind home plate. And the people around me there sure the heck did not regard the game a social event. Most there were the most intense win or lose. That is the reason the Dude is known for such a special/hard place to play. Yes there were losing seasons. That?s what I want back instead of our fans sitting in church pews.
Ole Miss having the Grove doesn't stop them from winning 10 games.
Let the LFL people be.
Attendance will remain strong. As it should.
Lemon needs to start winning games. It's highly unlikely any move is made before the end of the season. We play SC, Bama, Fla, and Auburn the next 4 weekends. We could go 9-3 in the stretch. 8-4. Lots of meat left on the bone this season
and I'll add this because Bo Bounds was given the word to prepare people- if Lemon makes a Regional- its 60/40 he will return. There will be alot of talks and arguing at that point.
I like Lemonis and am rooting for him.
I hope he turns it around.
