I'm actually recalling my disgusted post about Hines last night after reviewing the facts. Their starter struck out everybody, not just Hines. The ump called the low at the knees strike all night and our guys refused to adjust and try to hit the ball on the ground. Everyone of our guys had their "taught to do it" upper cut swing on all fastballs and missed them by 3 inches. We rarely fouled off any pitches when striking out. Hines got a base hit on a flare to Left where he actually hit an outside strike the other way. On the double play ball, he smashed that ball in the ground. Unfortunately it was right at the second baseman. In that at bat., my frustration was more that he didn't take a pitch or 2 with a runner at 3rd and one out. But he WAS trying to get that run in and unfortunately hit it so hard, it was an easy double play. He needs to bat 7th and play first.
