And yes, Will is a good hitting coach. I'd love to have Will here, but part of that is Will wanting to come here. He doesn't right now. He doesn't want to be a hitting coach after this. He also wouldn't have come here when he went to UGA.
On Slate, he did this exact same thing last year. He started off lighting the world on fire and he came back to earth when conference play began. He ended up hitting .300. He's going to hit right around that same number this year. We didn't get rid of Slate because he couldn't hit. We got rid of him because he's a locker room cancer and sucks at fielding. He had 13 errors in 2023, he had 9 errors last year, and already has 2 this year.
