If Clary is out I?m would get Warren in the mix, start making him more prominent.
I love Kugels game but don?t think we can count on him.
I?d get the rotation going with Warren, game plan that way, and consider Kugel incing on the cake.
We immediately become more defensive which Jan?s loves.
Clary won't play here.
If we knew Clary was going to be out this long it would have been nice to get Warren more minutes in non conference games but I think it's too late now. Hopefully Kugel will be back Saturday and take some pressure off Hubbard. Even more hopeful would be that we get Clary back soon.
Warren may make our 3pt defense better. I believe he would.
I don?t disagree with all these points but I think it is worth trying if Clary is out for good.
Our only hope at postseason success is get Warren ready asap or hope Hub can learn the transition to pg and give up his score first mentality. He can still be a scorer at pg but he needs to watch Zigler at UT. His main role is to get the offense in rhythm and flowing.
The other option is Warren to play more and early. He has the talent but he doesn?t have the confidence because he?s pressing. Coaches need to show they trust him. He was the 13th rated pg in his class and performed well against high level players on the circuits. You don?t get to where he was just by luck.
Warren is a non-factor for our future success this season. He is someone to play a couple minutes because of injury.
Our success depends on Kugel getting healthy and Clary returning if possible. Should he not- then it's us running point with Hubb, Kugel, and Matthews. Hubb needs to embrace playing PG- because he has zero shot at playing SG in the NBA.
