It's simple. And this board spoke out loudly when the topic was brought up.
NIL. You gotta play the game to get the transfers and the vast majority of this board said they won't do it.
So If you don't want to be part of the solution. Look at yourself in the mirror when you ask why TN has better transfers...
Correct. Tennessee spends more than we do. Now Vitello is good salesman- no doubt. But they are putting their money where their mouth is- we arent.
Lemon is also very loyal to his guys/recruits. I think thats a problem he has to overcome or it will end up being his downfall
Not sure what we look like but we hit like boys among men. Way too much pressure on our pitching staff when it appears 4 to 5 runs is the max you can really ever expect from our offense.
UT is better than they were a few years ago. I called them losing when the won the SEC tourney a few years ago and they didn?t make it out of their own regional. I feel like they can get to a super this year. They may want to get out of the SEC Tourney as fast as possible.
The SEC tourney only exists to try and help those teams on the bubble to get in. It serves zero other real purpose.
I swear some of you must not ever watch other teams play.
SC made 12 errors THIS WEEK. We only made 33 ALL SEASON. We are literally the best team in the SEC fielding-wise and tied for 3rd in the country.
We are 13th in the country in ERA- 4th in the SEC. 9th in the country in hits allowed
Nothing is "awful" about that.
Lolz. UT?s NIL money isn?t coming from a small little grassroots fund. They have legit donors who don?t even blink at writing a big check.
Until our donors with actual wealth commit this is what we will have. We will NEVER compete nickel and diming our way along. $20 a month from Bob from Bogue Chitto isn?t going to do squat.
Yeah, I don?t know what all the whining is on this board among the average poster.
We are a good team, just not great. If all three aspects come together in the next week we will be hard to beat.
I was speaking of Vitello acquiring talent. He?s been doing it awhile and pre-NIL.
If you go man for man, Tennnessee is not bigger than MSU.
They do play with more swagger and attitude but they have a 5-8 150 lb guy. The defensive SS is 5-8 130 and Christian Moore is not that big. The Vols rage like juicers, now that you mention it.
Holcombe and Greg Haley were the biggest dudes yesterday, both bulldogs. Not on the field. But both could probably do business in a malee.
Tennessee is 38-60 overall against State. Prior to Vitello they were 30-60. Also prior to Lemonis, State was 60-30 vs Tennessee. Damn good thing State was in the opposite bracket in 21, huh.
What's also going to be fun to watch:
Tennessee will be the #1 overall seed for the Tourney
The #1 seed hasnt won the CWS since 1999
