When he is healthy. We'll find out tomorrow. I'm a little leery about how much Dohm can give us. I hope he surprises me.

I'm more worried about Dohm's mental state than anything.

So his injury was to his forearm and not his elbow?

The ideal scenario is he's able to give you 3 tomorrow, 5 in Hoover, and then save him for the regionals and make him the closer if he looks good the other two. Pico would be the ideal starter for Game 1 of a regional if we could get a host spot.

We need Dohm in the pen ASAP! Hopefully it works out. He can be our flex starter/pen guy in post season if we need it too.

He's been throwing for a couple weeks

Dohm can help us for sure. But we need to be careful with our expectations. Maybe Dohm will pitch twice on a weekend out of the pen as some suggest. Or maybe he will give us a 7 inning start each week. If one of those things happen, I would be ecstatic. However, that would be doubtful I think. More realistic at this point would be one appearance for 1-2 innings per week out of the pen. Or maybe 1 start each week for 4 innings. But in reality, if he's effective then anything we get from him is gravy.
