I can see some of the frustration with some as far as that. We did finish 2nd for a lot of guys and thats always tough

I dunno what that other person who said he knew what Moore's deal was was referring to but I dont care about not putting it on the board anymore.. He had a family member that wouldnt allow him not to go to Auburn for obvious reasons.. This isnt a rumor. I know this for a fact. He wanted to be here.. Ever wonder why he was all dog his whole high school career until that parent did what they did? Its unfortunate that he couldnt make his own decision. Also all that waffling at the end wasnt for show, he really wanted to be a dog. I wish him the best because I know some of his circumstances. Hes not a choir boy bet def not what some on here have made him out to be. But as far as the meltdown about this class.. We signed the best OL and DL in the state by far. The future is bright.
We failed on the offensive side of the ball again this year. Nothing really new, but now we've got a coach that doesn't have the ability to adapt his system. That's the difference in Mullen and Moorhead. Moorhead doesn't have the offensive talent to run his system (he probably never will) and his inability to adapt it to the players he's got is a huge issue for a school like us.
There's that.
Mullen did everything he could because he was one of his first big recruits. He eventually moved on (injuries pushed that). Look what he did with Tyson, Dak, & Fitz. Dak is the only one of those guys with much ability as a QB. Dan went more power run for Fitz. Ran a lot of trick plays and gave different looks with Tyson to try to confuse defense.
Collin Duncan is in.....wheew
I think this recruiting season should help us all learn a lesson. Those in the know, at the end of the day, really don't know. Their guess is just as good as the average guy on here. Cheers!
I got blasted in this thread for saying we'd finish our normal 25-30ish rather than the 15ish being predicted here. Let me know when the final rankings are in
10th in the SEC ahead of TSUN, UK, Mizz, & Vandy
This is on page 1 on this thread... posted last February. A year later we get 4 off this list?
Early State leans from in-state IMO
Charles Moore
Nathan Pickering
Jarrian Jones
Diwun Black
Byron Young
De'Monte Russell
Zach Edwards and Rod Clark from Starkville
Raydarious Jones
Jon Mingo
Plumlee and Harris from Oak Grove
Kyziah Pruitt
Kenneth Jefferson - prob take 2 QB's
Don't know about Brandon Cunningham, Dannis Jackson, AJ Hopkins, Demarcus Gordon...Kobe Dean is a UM lock
We got 6 off that list not 4 and didnt want either of the two from starkville.
So are we officially done for the day? Who should we be on the lookout for regarding transfers?
We got our ass handed to us in the best year of in state recruiting. Sugar coat it any way you want. Joe so far has been a total disaster on the field, in the bowl and in recruiting. We helped ourselves on the OL and DL but got zero skill position players that are difference makers. Total failure by what's left of this staff. Results dont lie.
We finish last in the west in rankings and 4-stars or better
Ready for the 2020 thread!!!!! Let's get the false hope started today!!!
We ended up getting the grad transfer punter from USA, so now at 84 scholarships. Hopefully he's better than Tucker Day.
I say why wait. I would like to see what we could do if we were more positive as a fan base for one entire recruiting cycle. What if all of our fans started to follow and retweet our prospects, show up to their games wearing all maroon, ringing cowbells every time they make a play, etc. Showing the prospects we are rooting for them. What would happen if everyone pulled the rope in the same direction and was cautious about talking about whether a player is good enough, has good enough grades, is an asshole, whatever.
Message boards are way to public to speak about our potential athletes or actual athletes the way we do most times.
