Lebby could absolutely strike it big with this group. But it's a ****ing gamble. He had a top priority this portal and has done a piss poor job at it: get quality OL who have proven production. Still time for us to land a big fish. But clock is ticking. Otherwise you go in with 5 ?s along the line.

And if we're paying Dent 150k then we're suckers and bad at evaluating OL. From all indications the dude was constantly getting his ass kicked by walkons at OU. You gotta be delusional about Loadholt's coaching skill for him to turn it around. He's gonna likely be at a G5 next season, and then an FCS the year after that if he doesn't get his shit together.

I think you missed his point. Giving him a spot on our roster gives us an in with his Dad which helps us recruit other players.

How do you know we didn?t pick him up on cheap? The average third teamer in college football is making $50K or so.

But since you have all these great evaluation skills, you should ramp up your NIL donations and less the charge for us like Cody does for TT.

Probably not the worst idea. Espy has softened his stance on us since we took Ayden. Although, I know part of that softening was Kiffin and how he was not recruiting any of Espy's WRs outside of Cunningham.

I know they are working to get him back in the fold.

Thank you for giving us the exact info Steve posted. Damn near word for word actually.

No crap we've had contact with Seaton. So have about 50 other programs. But Steve didn't tell his followers that one. We're not getting Jordan Seaton unless we just say screw it we'll torpedo the rest of our budget or we get a massive NIL donation.

Like Tater said, we still are having trouble selling the OL vision to portal kids. For a guy like Seaton, who's already got multiple 4 million dollar offers on the table(again, more info Steve didn't tell you) from playoff contenders, we would have to pay 5.5-6. I mean it would have to be a massive overpayment where we torpedoed the rest of our budget.

Kinda OT, but these guys/reps/agents pushing players to certain places or away from certain places...that seems to me like there could be a "conflict of interest " problem there. ??
I've been waiting for the first lawsuit to drop against a player rep/agent in these wild times.

To kind of put a bow on the Seaton stuff, I have ZERO idea if there is any return interest. My guess, I doubt there is other than just familiarity with Loadholt. However, this may be the time you pay 100K to get a guy to visit. Is it a waste of money? In all likelihood, yes. But hey, maybe you get him on campus and make him a 5.5 type offer and you get lucky. I think it also would be a good perception builder. If it is even perceived we are in it with him then that could drum up interest elsewhere.

This is what Ole Miss does.

And it gets them a mention with the Alabama's, LSU's, Ohio State's, and etc. even if they have 0% chance of landing the player.

my thoughts exactly. If they've mastered anything, it's drumming up publicity. Sometimes our admin seems like they're "above it all" but there are times it's worth it. This might be one of those times. It might even quiet some of the negativity from our own fans that we aren't even trying. Twitter is a cesspool right now in that regard.

That's the beauty, an overpay would still not break the bank. He's a position of need for us that has all the tools and Ole Miss wants to keep him.

Right, get an experience tackle (which will be hard) and we've done well. Some of these OL are going to be terrible, we just need 1-2 of them to pop for us and not be turnstiles.

DaKaari Nelson is visiting. 4 star LB from Penn St. Home town Selma, Al

Mason Barton will be in for a visit. Has played over 970 snaps. 670 of those this past season allowing 2 sacks. This is the guy that TX now has on radar and is there now. To me, this will be a guy with experience and cheaper.

Updated a few more sections so we can see more like what OL, DL are available.
