OK, halftime and time to regroup.
1st and 5 and we can't get a first down. Our O is lethal.
Where’s this third year Mike Leach offense we’ve been told about
We should be up like 28-0
We're the better team, but bad play calling, poor reads, poor blocking, holding onto the ball too long, and a dropped pass have allowed them to still be in this game.
Ok ok ok ok...
We get the ball first and this is our first major test. Test meaning that have a defense. I'm seeing looks we have never seen. AND WE ARE WINNING!!!
No road game in the SEC is going to be easy and we all know that.
We now have to have our OL dominate. As we talked about throughout the week. Our weakness on defense is speed to the edges. Daniels flat out ran us to it.
So how do we finish? I believe it's to keep the ball out of the hands of LSU's offense as much as possible. That means those short catches have to be made.
Up 13-7 on the road at LSU and we're largely playing very bad and fans are mad / disappointed.
I like the trajectory of our program.
Our LB's don't have much speed. They must be blanketing our receivers. We have made poor reads/calls with 6-7 in the box. I hate a prevent D before the half or last possession of a game. Score TD opening drive of 2nd half and I will feel better. That missed XP really concerns me. We are ahead at LSU, stay ahead.
Wow Missouri St. beating Ark 7-0
I am not sure that prevent was the issue as much as their WR?s all going 15 to 25 yards downfield pulling our safeties with them leaving open fields for Daniels to do his best Manziel imitation. I wouldn?t be surprised if their Of Coordinator planned that, sending everybody deep and letting Daniels improvise when their Oline pushed our guys past him. Daniels took advantage of our 5 or 6 guys getting locked up in hand to hand combat.
Need some points on the opening drive. We grow up here.
Got away with a hold on that play
