QBs like WRs, and now we have to sell a qb on well, we're gonna get some.

So a Top 4-5 WR in the SEC (I think he is light years ahead of Cayden Lee and Lambert is a senior)?
I agree QB is most important, but we can't spin this as anything except a major loss to our roster.
Now, if we go out and get a big time replacement, great but don't try and sell me that a DT Sheffield from North Texas is just as good as Kevin Coleman.
There's no way to spin this but that as a 2-10 team, we've actually went backwards so far. There's clearly time and we have some money, but Lebby is concerning the hell out of me.
He was the best player on a bad team. He won us no games and lost us no games. We will replace him. It is that simple. We did everything we could to keep him. He would have been paid on Tre Harris level and he is not in the same galaxy as Tre Harris. He wanted to go to Mizzou. All there is to it.
Cayden Lee may be the best possession receiver in the league and he has great speed. He had zero drops this year. I would take him over Coleman 7 days a week. He is a legit rd. 2-4 WR. Coleman will go to Mizzou and be lucky to go 5-7. It is going to be Zavion Thomas 2.0.
Why? Y?all are some barn blind individuals. Do you think that Starkvegas was first brought into existence as a compliment, guess what it wasn?t. This is the world we live in today and with free transfers it sucks but you just have to roll with it. Go get the next ones out of the portal until the point of where we get those that want to stay. Some just don?t want to be here in a small town in Mississippi. It is what it is.
Thank you for bringing some sanity into this. Guys guess what, we have lost our best receiver every year since 2021. And guess what? We have replaced them every year since 2021. Guess what we’re gonna do in 2025? Replace our best receiver and we won’t miss a beat. It is the nature of this business now. This is why I have been telling people do not get attached to players. You support the program. Name on the front, not name on the back.
Times have changed, gonna get worse. It's not just MSU it's pretty much every colle program. The to c him go but....bye!
It?s a fact there hun, we have to work with it everyday. We have to work harder and do more with less everyday but I?m not gonna sit back and go whoa 17 us we will never get over the hump everyone else is better than us like a bunch here. Nope gonna see things like they are and work to make it happen.
While I hear you, he had a great year partly because of the system. Nobody knew who he was a year ago. Heck we fans didnt even think he was our best portal WR.
That room is the one room I worry least about finding production tbh. Lebby's offense always blows up average receivers (Moore, Drummond, stoops, Coleman).
When we got Kevin, he had a season where he caught 26 passes for 362 yards and 2 TDs.
I thought miner, Coleman, booth, and MVB were our best offensive players last season, and they're all gone

I haven't seen anyone say it is a good thing that Kevin Coleman is going to Missouri. It's not. However, Jeff Lebby's offense absolutely produces big production from the WR position.

You also have to think if we do indeed get Arnold receivers are going to want to play with him. I really think it?s a position we are going to be able to recruit well
There's not a guy on a roster that's "irreplaceable" from a 2-10 team.
