I like our chances with Mingo if we hurry up and hire Michael Johnson as receivers coach and let them get to meet each other.

If we keep Baker then we still have a shot with Byron. If not, I have no idea, but it certainly doesn't help things.

Looks like Plumlee is OM or Auburn bound. I hate we're missing out on him. He's a good athlete. He doesn't fit OMs scheme at all though. I actually think he fits in with Gus though.

That's the only caveat with Byron. We keep Baker(which I believe we do) our chances with Byron are excellent.

Hes a good fit for what Rich Rod wants to do at OM....let it play out. If he goes to OM it may help us with another.

This is true. Johnson is a big get and will help us with Mingo and a few others. He already knows Mingo pretty well

I think there were also rumors or something about Vanderbilt, Tulane, Georgia Tech, Duke, Rice, and SMU getting together and forming their own league. Tulane and GT made the leap of faith and the others said never mind.

That aint gonna happen. I thought Breiner maybe was on the cut list but I was wrong. I dont expect him to be going anywhere for a while. He is Moorheads boy

Had the staff stayed in tact , there was a chance that Getsy was going to qb and Breiner moved to TE. But obviously the way things worked out that's not.

I think that will be our "Achilles Heel" on offense... Knowing the offense is not enough, if your QBs can't get the ball there.

It wasn't "over signing" per se... It was "processing", only 45 years early... And Dodd lost the "140 vote" 11-1.

MSU also voted against a change of the rule.

He's still on staff though, so maybe it just means Moorhead thought a heck of a lot more of getsy

Getsy was just named the QB coach for the Packers. That?s a pretty big deal..maybe he should?ve been coaching QBs this past year.

Question: If Young signs with us, did we out recruit Bama or did Bama let him go? I guess what I'm also saying is, does Bama still really want him or are they still figuring spots out between recruits. I'm sure Baker makes a significant difference too. Just trying to feel out how Bama is treating Young down the stretch.

Why do you think the Baker rumors started? Saban definitely wants Young and knows he is slipping away.

That LSU visit has me most concerned about Young.

That's fine and I hope he slips all the way to Starkville. It's just the talk earlier was Bama may or may not take him and that's why we got in it. Couldn't remember if it was his decision or Bama's to not sign early. Hope

You're right about "processing" 45 years ago. bama was oversigning by massive amounts and then making cuts, per se. I read about it somewhere but thought the vote against the change only passed by the bama vote, guess I was wrong. GT and Tulane really made a mistake getting out.Most folks don't even know where Sewannee (sp?) is , much less that they were in the SEC. I still don't think Mo is a good fit at all today.

Jaquelin Roy. Anyone know anything about him? I might be reading a little much into this but he's currently committed to LSU. Tweeted out that he's got a big announcement coming and Bulldog Recruiting liked the tweet.

Any chance he decommits and we get in the mix?

I suspect Young stays with Bama now that Baker was offered. Mission accomplished, Saban. LSU may or may not get a visit. Can anyone verify if he was actually sick during visit here?
