What's the vibe with MJ Daniels? Is he a possible flip candidate? Boy getting him, Calloway, Ellington, Eatmon, and Walley would be adding a whole lot of talent & athleticism to the secondary.
He's a nice player, but I'm just not sure his speed fits what Leach wants. When you sit down & watch video on the WRs we're recruiting hard, he doesn't have that same burst.Quote:

I'm not a huge fan of the transferring but, if we're going to have a portal, let's at least organize it so that when you hit the portal doesn't almost completely determine where you go next.

You're already having to recruit the player as soon as he hits, why not enforce a date so if somebody is thinking about it they have to have their mind made up or miss the chance to leave that year. Point being, it's incredibly difficult for both the school & player to know their options as it's currently constructed.
There just needs to be dates so that coaches can plan their rosters with the best available information & players can pick the school that actually offers them the best opportunity

The question would be do you do it after the season or after the coaching circus and spring camp? I?d say after spring because you are past all the HS signings, coaches have been hired and they?ve had a chance to sell the team on their vision and evaluate the team.
I think you have two signing period for the portal, one in early January after season so that players can get in a full spring's work and teams know how many they can sign in February and another in May when players know more about how the roster and all the other thing mentioned above.Quote:
