I wonder how much reliable info they really have with it being a new staff.
Maybe it's because in recruiting it is all just a guessing game. Even the ones who "claim to be in the know" really don't know shit. It's more a guess and hope they are right type thing. If they are wrong they always have the
"Well that's recruiting, kids change their mind" as an cover.
Some of you need to just read and not post on the recruiting thread...
Aw c'mon Ari, we all like talking with you!
The thing is that situations are actually fluid. Hell, Ari is one of the best on the recruiting thread and he has been wrong more times than I can count. Or is he really wrong? Often times he is right but the kids really do change their mind. These kids are 17 and many don't know what the hell they want to do. It's a rollercoaster. And people like Ari and IYOK report what they know and I appreciate it. But nobody bats 1.000 when it come to recruiting, because these kids throw curveballs and changeups like you wouldn't believe. Nothing surprises me in recruiting. Nothing. So people with knowledge of the situation can give you accurate info, but that same info be obsolete and wrong the next day because the kid woke up in the morning with a different team on his mind. I watch from a distance most of the time.
Come on Ari, they're staying OT and theorizing why our reporting was so bad on Emery. If they can't have that discussion we might as well call it the "Ari and IYOK talk recruiting if they feel like it" thread and ban everyone else. i like you but these guys weren't melting or giving hot takes or discussing pie vs cake, and unless you want to fill us in on what happened with Emery let them discuss it
Hahaha...You literally just proved the point I was making..Thanks

This. I like Ari as well.
However, when you are in a situation of having inside knowledge, it's easy to forget the perception that the general public has.
I don't see how anyone can blame an MSU fan, with no inside knowledge, for questioning the entire Emery situation & how everyone could be so confident & it change on a dime. It's an elephant in the room that no one wants to address
So why isn't anyone calling UGA out?
Are we just taking it?
What can be done?
Do we still have a chance?
I didn't question the reporting that we led for him, but the fact that we went from leading & him saying he was going to come, to us being out of the picture within a week & barely anyone explains why is absurd.
Please don't be angry with me or others on this board. Not trying to be contentious, it just seems like a crazy story that was swept under the rug
What is the "crazy story" you are talking about? What is UGA supposed to be getting called out for?
Is "They are cheating!!" the new go to for you now if an elite school beats us for a very highly touted recruit? We were/are very fortunate to be in the running and even in his top 5. It's really not that hard to see what may be more desirable for any recruit to attend what one would expect to be guaranteed playoff contender.
Anyone who buys 100% in on what any of these 17 y.o. recruits are saying one day and expect that to be in stone the next are only fooling yourselves. It's just the way it is. Some kids have a hard time telling these coaches something they think may disappoint the coach I would think. Not that hard to imagine.
Let's see... a Louisiana kid that's a 5-star picks Georgia over state. How many OOS 5-stars have we got, ever? How many has Georgia got in the last 2 years? This is just a sour grapes arguement to me. We got beat by a much better recruiting staff at a much better program. Thus is life...
