Ok. So maybe Robbie will change how he does things. Based on what I've seen it doesn't look that way. So yeah- I think I can safely assume that he would try to tear Lebby down if he fired Bumphis. That would be true if Lebby had any more of his contacts on the staff but as far as I know Bumphis is the only one left really and even then that has faded a lot.
Well if he said Lemonis would definitely be fired then he should be called out. I listen to Hadad and Faulk regularly and I don't remember him saying that exactly but if he did that was stupid. Did he say it there are on his website? I would expect a podcast guy to say someone deserves to be fired when they do but saying they KNOW someone will be fired is uncalled.for and really dumb when it doesn't even come to pass.
Again, we were all thinking that last year after Austin Peay, we FANS were thinking that. Hell I think I started up a hot board the next day. But that's the difference. Either you're a fan or you're a journalist. FANS should not be allowed at press conferences, press row, given credentials, etc. Journalists should be afforded all those things. He's not a journalist. He's a FAN. And that's ok. But just admit that you are a fan over a journalist. Admit that there is no possible way for you to be unbiased. His takes are no different than any of us. Some might be extremely popular and a consensus line of thinking. And some, people are going to look at you like, "Why the 17 are you drinking tequila at 2 PM on a Wednesday?".
Did you see my post on that? Here is the excerpt- "That is why I think David Johnson and Yancy Porter are massive losers too. They are not journalists. They are fanboys, but try to act like journalists."
I 1000% KNOW they are fans. They are extremely biased and they should not be credentialed. OM took away Yancy's credentials but for some stupid reason gave them back.
Ok. Just letting you know it’s not just a MSU thing and you guys are slightly overreacting over 2 dudes(losers or not)talking MSU sports. I just take those guys as giving their opinions(good or bad). I can agree or disagree. And I guess it’s up to the school to credential them so they must not hate them enough to pull it, yet. I feel they are kinda harmless. I could care less if a coach likes them or not. Maybe they are asking the right questions if it pisses coaches off that are losing.
Nothing you are saying is wrong. My whole premise is that one of them gives their opinion as that of a journalist and not what he really is, a fan. Fans should not be credentialed. Just my two cents on it. Social Media has given too many people some sort of internet following to think they are a journalist and they speak for everyone.
And honestly, if you're going to ask a coach a stupid ass question, he should be able to call you a 17 idiot to your face. Bobby Knight did it all time. Jim Valvano did it as well.
You're not wrong! But if as a "journalist" you say something stupid, a coach should be able to look at you and tell you that was a stupid 17 question and you not get butthurt and decide it is your mission to be as negative as possible to coaches.
I mean you all do realize there is a reason that Robbie can't be on interviews with coaches on their podcast anymore right? The University has requested that. I know they've tried to pull his credentials more than once but Brian fought for him to keep them. I think Steve fought for him to keep them the first time. He is just not very well liked in the athletic dept and a lot of it is his attitude and the way he handles criticism.
