To me it looked like Larry was looking at the runner to try to attempt a throw at 3b. I think he took his eye off if it.

It was a bunt to move runners over to 2nd and 3rd
Bunt was just to the glove side of pitcher - fielded cleanly by pitcher

On that bunt, 3B stays home, pitcher covers 3b side, 1b crashes

All that worked - Larry was late to the bag and the throw was above his hands -more at the bill of his cap - it was a reactionary attempt to catch

Should?ve caught it but pitcher being so close should?ve gone underhanded

These days Jim is getting mad like us. Jay is basically saying that the staff is mismanaged and the approach is wrong.

Jay was fantastic to listen to. I had my 2 year old with me, and we left at the top of the 8th. When I cranked my truck to head home, it was the beginning of the 9th. He was done with it, man. You can tell he thinks Foxhall is an idiot.

That's why I wanted to listen to what he has to say. I like to cross reference my thoughts with MLB people if I can. Sounds like we both have the same general idea.
