Our catchers are KILLING us. This is probably the worst catching unit I have ever seen at MSU. Jason Burkley was the worst catcher I have ever seen at MSU- but at least we had Tatum who was pretty good.
We're a lot closer to being a championship club if we had someone that could catch a fastball. The catchers have single-handedly cost us the Memphis and Jacksonville State games. We probably hold the record for guys reaching base on a strike out, passed balls, and "wild pitches". That ninth inning rally started on a strikeout where we couldn't handle the pitch and then hit the runner in the back. Thank God Pirtle pulled out a Web Gem or it could have gotten really bad.Quote:
