There are a dozen G5 head coaches that we could get who have multiple years of experience as a successful head coach. Mullen's one, but not the only. And there are least 4 retreads I can think of who would take our job - maybe questionable hires, but would be an improvement.

How can we ask fans to donate to NIL and get engaged when this is what we give them? We have to give fans a reason to be excited, and bringing back Mullen would do that.

Again, he's not the only way to do that, but it would be a huge shock of optimism to most of our fans.
