Rubber match vs Auburn thread

KJ wasn't hit nearly as hard by Auburn as any other pitcher we've put out there today.

And now the errors

Halter makes a good play then promptly makes up for it on the next play.

Y'all sure are quick to give up on a team that has proven time and time again to never count them out. That said, our bullpen has to be better. The sky isnt falling on our bullpen yet but its close. They havent been good for a few weeks now. There were red flags against Maine

I really wish Hunter Stovall had stayed for his SR year. He could have REALLY helped us and I don't ever see him as a MLB player anyway.

In baseball, you gotta strike while the iron is hot. He would prove nothing by coming back. It's selfish to want guys to return if draft eligible. Stovall got some good feedback by scouts and he went. I hope he does well.

Not sure what your definition of "giving up" is but yes, we COULD come back and win but I would like to know the probability of winning an SEC game where you give up a 7 run inning. To even have a chance today we are probably going to have to score more than we did yesterday.

We are getting some insight into who we really are this weekend. Good but nowhere near the #2 team in the nation at present. Top 10-12? Possibly. But not #2. Much, much room for improvement.

I just see Stovall as a good college level player. Don't expect to ever see him do much in pro ball but at least he got his signing bonus I guess.

We can win this game if we can get a pitcher to do his job

I'm worried that our best option for Sunday starter and/or long relief is currently our closer. Not a good thing
