I'm going to have to stop watching the games. I've missed every win but 3 and watched every loss. I turned this one off shortly after the beginning of the half when we went back down by 15 or so. I'm a jinx I guess.

We are a 4th quarter team
Y'all don't put Howland back on the hot seat when we lose on the road at Auburn. Tough to win on the road.
Well that didn't last long haha. I forced myself to watch the 2nd half, and wow. Biggest win in YEARS. Ready out, Peters and Q shoot 4-26, we miss 16 FTs...and win it after being 19 down.
How about Mario Kegler's intensity down the stretch? He, Stapleton, and Herard won that game for us, and Q came up big when we needed it. Wow. Wow wow wow. PLEASE let this spur us forward.
Q is playing with 1 and a half hands. His finishing is going to continue to be inconsistent
Fantastic to see that intensity. I haven't seen him like that all yearQuote:

Oh yeah, I understand. The first half we just looked so blah but I think it had a lot to do with no leaders emerging to pick up the team. Stapleton, Kegler, and Herard deserve all the credit in the world because they looked like they were always trying out there. Kegler was the only starter IMO that played a great game the whole game through. We need leaders to emerge and we need to get confidence that even if Q has a bad game we can still win. We proved it today. This is the first win where Q and Peters didn't lead us in points. Big step forward IMO.
So is Q still learning how to play through the pain of his injury? There is a night and day difference between him before and after the injury.
Kegler is an NBA player once he starts playing consistently. Peters is an NBA player once he starts playing consistently at the point. Nick will be an NBA player. Herard and Ado could possibly work their way into an NBA roster in a few years. This team and next year's team are loaded with talent albeit extremely young talent.
Oh yeah me included. I just wish we would play with effort for forty minutes. Hopefully a win like this will build confidence and we can finish strong down the stretch. I want us to hit 9-9 in the conference. If we can get to that point, everything else is golden.
This reminded me of that Vandy game last year in which we were down by 17. I am sure that thread is hilarious as well with stupid comments by me to boot. Yes, I was wrong. We just need to play with effort for 40 minutes and let chips fall where they may. We will get better. As a poster said earlier, we are a young team and consistency will come with age.
