No, I'm just in the Christmas spirit haha
ETA... it would've been BA if that really were the case, but I'm not that cryptic

I’ve said Mingo isn’t happening and I still believe that barring something crazy. He’s all over the draft angle they’re selling and we can’t offer that.
I've learned that WRs are by far the most narcissistic bunch out there. For most of them, as long as they are getting thrown to and being talked about and their draftability is good they really could not care less about being on a team worth a crap. That's why OM can continue to recruit good WRs even though the program is going down in flames.
I think we are doing the right things to rectify it though. We have a WR coach from the NFL. We are throwing the ball more. I also think that going the JUCO route and guys like Guidry having success will help. And hopefully Payton too.
Hopefully our staff is mentioning that the only reason that they are keeping Longo around is so that they will sign with Ole Miss and that he is about to be gone.
We have everything going for us. Need to keep the key coaches intact, highlight UMs mess at every opportunity and make our case. I would love for the defensive staff to stay completely intact for this year. Got to make Shoop the happiest guy on the planet.
A list of our commits/targets that are signing early would be nice so we can divide them into December and February signees.
Things seem to be lining up for a strong finish.
Any OM receivers who have played under Longo, when they see an NFL playbook, it won't have anything even similar to what they saw in the OM playbook. They can put receivers in the NFL, based on their skill set before they got to OM. There is no development up there on offense to help anybody get to the next level. Hopefully Mingo will finally realize this unless he is just determined to go to OM.
Who do yall think are the next 3-4 commits? I say Derick Hall, Charles Cross, Kevon Glenn and Dawand Jones in that order.
I think Witherspoon is holding out hope for a Bama or Auburn offer before he tells us yes.
Tn and Um working Witherspoon pretty hard.
He visited Tn and did not get an offer. TN and OM are working Gray hard if that's who you mean. Witherspoon's season ended in the second round of their playoffs and he did not have a good night. I'm wondering if we are still that interested considering we are getting Walker. We have precious few spots left so if his offer is commitable he should take it asap.
Are the “smoke signals” around Nakobe Dean legit or is it people just having fun?
It’s State people. Not saying he’s coming, but that communication lines have vastly opened up between the two.
If we got Dean it would be a miracle. Now miracles sometimes happen but I'm not counting on this one.
A quick thought about this recruiting class:
The SEC is a line of scrimmage league & we are cleaning up on the line of scrimmage.
Here is the potential class:
OL:
Cross - 4
Cunningham - 4
Washington - High 3
Sharp - High 3
Pendley - Solid 3
Jones - upside 3
DL
Pickering - high 4
Moore - high 4
Russell - 4
Ani - 3/4
The only line of scrimmage player in state that we are going to miss on is Young. Would love to have Turnage, Mingo, Dean, & Dannis Jackson, but they simply don't play the most important positions in the SEC.
John, David and Jessie said so. Unlike other peeps, I will provide names. However, will not give last names.
Here is what I know with ND
I said it back in the spring we had as good of a shot getting him as OM did. That was probably going out on a limb but was told that.
ND is a different cat.
ND’s mother doesn’t play the bullshit recruiting games .. Fact
Saban rubbed the mom the wrong way ( I know that for a fact) and you saw how they faded over the summer . That being said it is Bama and recruiting so if he signed there it wouldn’t be shocking
I wasn’t told anything on his dad who lives in Fla but you see and read OM has him involved
In the end I doubt we get the kid, but I will be shocked if he goes to OM. Maybe it turns out he has to do what’s best for business. And like in the past with some players that’s where he ends up. The brother has very little influence on his decision. It does help I’m sure that he is at OM but it doesnt tip the scale
In the end I think it’s to an out of state school and my guess still is Georgia.
Saying all of that ....... if there was a NFL style draft and we had first pick of an instate kid We take Pickering #1 overall
Getting a 2019 commit today?
Witherspoon?
Regarding Mingo, I'd love to have him but watching him this year he just doesn't dominate like a guy of that caliber should in my opinion. Heard a college coach say he's actually better suited as a linebacker.
