What I don't understand is why State should ever be considered a place for first time DCs. Are we that low that we couldn't have gone out and hired someone with real experience? Yea he coached with Saban but reminds me of the Croom hire when I heard some say "he played for the Bear!"

Because our “non-appointable” administration remains a weight dragging this program down and it will literally never change without a complete administrative overhaul.
