That presser today sounded like a bunch of guys asking a girl why she?s breaking up with them.
Locked On Ole Miss said he looked he has already checked out and doesn't want to be there. They also said they don't like what they are hearing from the locker room.
He is standing there talking about the "chapters of his life". That tells me the OM chapter is over and the LSU chapter is beginning Saturday.

The more this drag on the more I lean towards him staying at OM
I'm sure the locker room talk isn't healthy. That's a good thing!
I watched a clip of Lane talking about how players of today don't worry about their coaches leaving like they use to. Basically said players shops all year for the most money and they ain't worried about loyalty anymore. And that's the truth. But to my point, I decided to read some comments. Alot of the comments are about how upset the players are.. especially the ones who ain't good enough to shop every year. So hopefully that locker room, staff, and university is full of animosity right now. We need every bit of help we can get for the EB.
Does LSU really have the money to pay Kiffin that much with all the Kelly drama going on now? I just really am thinking this is all a smoke screen
I have a very close family friend married into one of the biggest LSU money families - they said it?s all but made official. They did say until it?s official anything could happen but ALL the money issues at LSU have been resolved and the whole lot of them are unified for Kiffen.
Lane is a weird cat. Nothing will surprise me. He doesn't care about OM, LSU, Oxford, etc., he cares about Lane. He loves attention and is eating all this up, wouldn't surprise me if he tries to stretch it out further.
He's pissed in the pool. There's no going back. No major program will take him serious if he stays.
They don't care how many kids they have to kill. Locked On LSU said they are willing to go to $17 mil/year if necessary.
This opportunity only comes once in a blue moon.
Locked On LSU said the LSU team put together a presentation so impressive that it blew Kiffin's and Sexton's socks off. LSU had their ducks in row and had them whistling the Star Spangled Banner while tap dancing.
A bottle of water in Death Valley will be $25.
Lane wants to coach OM into the playoffs and take the LSU job being the head coach at both at the same time. It's not going to work like that. He wants OM to tell him to go so he's not the bad guy but they aren't. LSU is not going to let him coach into the playoffs because he needs to be recruiting and getting his staff together.
And there are some people (LSU) that think Lane isn't going to make to the Egg Bowl. He might make the move on Thanksgiving day.
Here's the difference between MSU and LSU. LSU had no president and then they had the fool governor running his mouth about Sexton. LSU hires a president and gets the AD thing situated about a week later.
MSU would have drug their feet and made excuses about why we had to drag out the president and AD search and so all we could really do was name Coleman Hutzler the head coach. But don't worry! He'll keep the recruiting class together and the boosters friends who haven't been a head coach past high school in Mississippi will be there to help him out! It'll work out!**************************
He's staying at Ole Mis imo. Players are flat out asking him what his plans are and Kiffin doesn't appear to be a very good liar. He's 2 wins away from being the all time winningest coach there. His own legacy, his own path, his own way, he's a hotty toddy man now with a pay raise.
Kiffin announces he’s staying in his pregame speech to his players and they run out on the field with their feet not even touching the ground. Win the game going away and all the OM faithful are all smiles after the game. Only to hear the next day announcement that he is indeed headed to LSU. Burp….
Al was correct
He might stay at Ole Miss, but those saying this is orchestrated or planned are fooling themselves.
This is a major distraction that could hurt their chances of beating us Friday and making the playoff. The extension has been on his desk for months. All he has to do is sign it and poof, the distractions are gone. I think if OM were 7-3 and out of the playoff picture, it'd be a done deal. He wants to leave. But the perception of leaving a playoff team will be tough.
We should do all parties involved a favor and just beat their ass on Friday. Then they're out of the playoffs, Lane can leave guilt free and we can go to a bowl game. It's really simple. I guess the only party that wouldn't be happy would be Ole Miss but… Who gives a 17?
Lame is coaching the EB and is also lobbying players to clamor for him to coach the playoffs after he accepts the LSU job.
And yes- LSU would let him coach the playoff game. He can recruit and build staff while getting ready for a playoff game. This is the era of Zoom, social media, and all the technology possible to do what's needed without leaving your office
"Harumph Harumph Harumph"!! Blazing Saddles

That has to be a locker room issue with Lane telling some players but not others to transfer with him.
It's been really quite the past few days. I bet Kiffin and his team are locked in for egg bowl prep. Expect a beatdown and hope for the best.
Even if Kiffin isn't approaching players about transferring with him the players will still discuss it all among themselves. There are definite distractions on their side and we will find out Friday if those distractions are enough to help us pull off the upset.
Due to the circumstances I highly doubt Lane is as locked in on us as the Georgia game. Remember they hardly prepared for Wazzou and it almost was to their detriment.
We may not win but I think this is going to be a lot closer game than most think.
Lebby needs something vastly positive and this fits the bill. He better have the team ready.
Goes along with this which defines Kiffin:
Sociopathic narcissist traits include a grandiose sense of self-importance, a profound lack of empathy, and a high need for admiration and control.
These individuals are often manipulative, arrogant, and entitled, and they may disregard rules, laws, and the feelings of others. Other key traits include impulsivity, aggression, a tendency to exploit others, and a potential for sadism.
I think his mother said that about him! ****
