It may finally be time for Arkansas
I'm for MSU or coastal, but LSU is going to win it. Arkansas is probably the best team in it but we all know they will choke.
Maybe Arky can clear the hurdle this time, but I’ve got CCU playing for Natty #2. I’d love a Murray St v CCU champ series!
Kinda pisses me off. Our team had Lemonitis for over 1/2 a season. And here we have Arkansas, Louisville, Murray State going for their first. Coastal going for their 2nd; UCLA and Oregon State going for their 3rd I think; Arizona going for like their 4th and LSU going for their 8th!
Damn Lemonis couldn't even out recruit a Murray State and Coastal Carolina. Jed Clampett would say Pit-e-full!
Nice of them tom put the 2 best team facing together in the 1st round.
I say in the CWS that OSU is the sleeper team. I really like their Coach. It is fun seeing teams like CC and the other MSU in the CWS. I tkink Arkansas will choke it away once again, their road record indicates a flaw or weakness. I hate Lsu so I want pull for them, LOL!
UPig seems to rely heavily on the homerun this year for scoring. I watched them beat Creighton in the regional. They hit like 6 home runs (can't remember exactly) but most of them if not all would have just been long outs in Omaha. If the CWS was in Fayetteville, I think they win it all hands down. But thankfully it's not. In Omaha, I think they struggle to score.Quote:

They did sweep Vandy and won a series against Ole Miss both on the road. Went 2-1 in Arlington. But yeah other than that most of the road series were losses.Quote:

It's elimination day in the first game up today. Arizona-Louisville with the loser carrying home the ignominious title of First One Out. Oddsmakers have Arizona as the favorite. Winners bracket game follows featuring Coastal Carolina and Oregon State.
After trailing for seven innings, Louisville storms back with six runs in the bottom of the eighth, winning it 8-3 and sending Arizona home.
This Coastal Carolina team is no joke. I don?t know their pitching depth but they look like the best mid major in awhile
Coastal Carolina scores three in the 1st and it's all Jacob Morrison and the bullpen would need. The Chanticleers win it 6-2 for their 25th win in a row and advance to the Bracket I final. The teal is for real.
The first game at 1:00 today is Arkansas-Murray State. Personally I'm pulling for the Racers to send the Pigs packing.
And in the winners bracket we'll see UCLA-LSU. We'll start to get an idea of the Tigahs pitching depth and just how good is the Bruins bullpen.
Should be a fun couple of games. Man I love college baseball.
First game I was just too busy to watch and it's just as well. Arkansas eliminates Murray State 3-0. Gage Wood throws the third ever no-hitter in CWS history and fans a record 19. The fairy tale is over. <sigh>
Uh oh. The question about LSU's pitching depth may be getting answered early. MIDDLE OF THE 1ST: UCLA 3, LSU 0.
And the Tigers answer 'who needs pitching'. Tigers 4-3 after one.
4-3, ball cleared the fence by a whole inch.
