He is 6 and 5 this year. Not good!
LSU buddy of mine thinks Elko would be a home run hire. I have no idea on him.
Leonard has missed 4 games this season, and they've lost 3 of them. Missing your qb is a big deal
His last 2 losses are with the 2nd then 3rd string QB. Leonard is pretty good

Was Dan a bad coach because of that? Because the year after he left a lot of folks thought we could have competed for the West had he stayed.
And anyone that says Elko would be bad but then justifies Odom or Malzahn or Herman needs to reevaluate their agenda. I can understand wanting a young P5 coach with success. But judging someone based on a year 2 "regression" at a lower tier P5 school that's no longer the laughing stock of a P5 conference because of said coach makes no sense.
Elko would be a solid hire. Best on paper hire we would have made since Sherrill.
3 losses by a combined 12 points. Without QB. His players play hard as hell. He?d be a GREAT get. There?s a reason he?s on A&M?s, and Michigan State?s list.
