It should not be Dak or Bo. They do not deserve it. Gabe Jackson has been at MSU for five years. He has started all 4 years. He never misses a game, has never been in trouble, and is probably the best at his position in the country. He is the obvious choice and it should not be close.
Why is Nickoe not in the discussion? he's a career active NCAA leader in INTs and just whipped Ole Miss's ass.
Last year Bo Wallace won the Connelly because he put up the most stats helping um win, even though he deserved it less than banks, slay, Russell, moncrief, and probably another half dozen players on state and ole miss's team.Quote:

Eta: if you're going to go back to giving it to the best player in the state, it's no question gabe. If you want to look at best season or best career, maybe you can make an argument for Whitley or somebody on ole miss's team. But nobody else int he state is going to be drafted in the first couple of players at their position, and gabe is being drafted on performance, not just his potential, so that tells you how well yeah s played.
