Women's basketball adds another player

Aniya Palmer 6-0, 6-1 wing from Troup County HS in Georgia

Read (credit Robbie Faulk..Gene's Page) where Miss. State is taking a chance on her because of her potential. She was limited, missed most of this past season with a shoulder injury then surgery. Also indicated that the year before her AAU recruitment was slowed due to covid. Also, Coach Purcell indicated that he was keeping track of her while at Louisville.

Additional note...she nearly dunked in 2 games. Also, pictures online of her hands up near the rim during action.

Got to get who we can this late and sort it out later. Might as well take a shot.

Led Troup County to the 2020 state championship game, missed coaches and media aau evaluations over the last 2 years due to covid and then a shoulder injury. We are supposed to be getting 1 more player from the portal also. Purcell has a talented group to work with. We already know what Anastasia Hayes, Jerkaila Jordan, Danae Carter and Jessike Carter can bring... and he's added a 6'4 big from Louiville, a wing from Florida State and a scorer from St. Bonnie who averaged 18 ppg. Still have the other 2 Hayes sisters, Mia Moore, Kohl who finished the season strong and a couple incoming Freshman.... I like this team and the depth

Read that about adding one more player from the portal. Was indicated that the women's basketball program was expected to add another player from the transfer portal this weekend, and save the last spot.
