My favorite one is "The Widow maker".
Love me some Gunsmoke. Hell, I even love the radio version on Sirius 148. I heard William Conrad, who played Matt Dillon on the radio show, tell a funny story about a live, on-air blooper one time. He said a lot of the time every line wasn't scripted. They would give them a few lines and tell them where they wanted the scene to end up. In one episode a famous hanging judge had come to town and he (Matt Dillon) was supposed to pay the judge a compliment so Conrad just blurted out to the judge that "you can tell when he (the judge) comes to town because his clients are so well hung" He said he didn't realize what he had said until he noticed the rest of the cast fighting not to lose it. I keep hoping to hear that one on the radio one day but I haven't heard it yet. I did hear a tape of their practice run through of a Christmas broadcast after they had all gotten shitfaced at the Christmas party. It was pretty good.
