The MAIS to MHSAA Plan that will work

First, only MAIS schools that are SACS accredited should be able to join. SACS accreditation is a basic merit of being a decent school. If you went to a school that is not on this list, then as an alum you need to get on their ass and tell them to put some more emphasis on education. Personally, I'd shut them all down, but just like Alabama, there is a market for true segregation academies/schools that don't care about academics at all (Starkville Christian).

42 of the 97 MAIS schools are SACS accredited. My plan is to invite them to the MHSAA with an enrollment index of 1.2, which would put all but 14 schools in 1A and 2A.

3A schools: Heritage, Hillcrest, Indianola, Lamar, Lee, Magnolia Heights, Starkville
4A schools: Washington, Parklane, MRA, Pillow, Presbyterian Christian
5A schools: Jackson Prep, Jackson Academy

In 5A, Prep and JA would roll into the district with Ridgeland, Pearl and Germantown and fit right in football-wise.
In 4A, Washington and Pillow would go in Region 3, MRA in Region 6 (which they would dominate) Parklane in Region 7 (with McComb) and PCS in Region 8 with St. Stanislaus.
In 3A, Lee and Mag Heights to Region 2, Indianola to Region 3, Heritage and Starkville would go to Region 4, Lamar to Region 5, Hillcrest to Region 6 with St. Andrew's

Interesting idea, but what happens when Prep and JA start 'crootin and offering the Malik Dears, Calloway dudes, and Brandon guys scholarships? Will they still be in 5A when they are the Evangel Christian of Mississippi High School Football?

It will never happen. The segregation group will always open up another school just so they don't have to go to school or compete against the black kids. Just something that will always be in Mississippi for some folks. Sad, but true. But, it's their choice so let them be.

Makes too much sense so It'll never happen

Most of the schools you are putting in 3A and 4A would likely get absolutely demolished on a consistent basis in most sports.

That's why you have to index enrollment. For the simple point that they can recruit/pull out of district kids.

Just like when it happened in Alabama, the first couple years would be rough for some schools, but they'd adapt and get better. The reason academy ball outside of Jackson is so bad is because they play primarily against academy ball outside of Jackson. Ric Flair said it best, I believe.

And in most sports? Maybe football and basketball would be tough, but they'd be competitive in minor sports right away. There's a reason St. Andrews and St. Joseph win the all sports trophy consistently in 2A and 3A. The sports that cannot be dominated by an individual (football, basketball) are really bad at some of these football/basketball-first schools. Start making these kids play as a team (baseball, soccer) and they struggle.

Boom. That's why we don't have it right now. What they don't see is that its hurting their own kids' chances of getting athletic scholarships. I know a guy that was a beast at a Small Class A academy, went to Hud's camp and showed out - they were impressed at ULL, but ended up not offering because of competition level.
