It will be really hot, and its opening day of dove season, and this team sucks that we are playing so we will probably kill them, and the rooms ar too expensive to stay, and................Did I miss anything??

I don't like Thursday games either and it hurts attendance no matter who we play.
However, even with the smaller crowds, the atmosphere is usually better than the 11 or 3 Saturday kicks when it's hotter than the gates of hell.
You'd rather play at 3PM than 9PM on a Saturday in September? Good call.
I'd rather play Auburn at 9PM on Friday than 11 on Saturday morning.
