I've always like McElroy as an analyst. He seems to actually research/watch film/etc and not just make claims based on the school.
This next year reminds of a slightly less experienced version of 2015. I think this team has more raw talent in the youth that will play than 2015 and may be more known at WR, but I think our ceiling could be higher.
The Mullen effect.
McElroy not to bad however the crew surrounding him ain't to sharp.
McElroy is one of the few analyst on SECN that actually understands football. Most of them are pretty bad.
McElroy knows the position.
Best QB in the SEC?? I think I'll go all C34 and remind everyone how I told you so in 2013....

"I've watched a lot of GA HS football. Having seen Nick play, and from everyone I have talked to in coastal GA, they all say the same thing - Nick has "IT" and is the type kid that wants to lead and the team just gravitates to him. Everyone also says we are getting a big steal. No one at all is worried about his arm, or reads, or lack of passing stats. The words "perfect fit for Dan Mullen's system" come up in every conversation."

McElroy always seems to be fair on his assessments. He's generally pretty accurate and he's even given bama some grief a few times. About the only one you can trust on secn
He actually just listed his top 5 SECW team rankings for 2017 as
1) Bama
2) Auby
3) LSU
4) Hail State
5) Arky
Didn't differentiate b/t aTM & TCUN but I know who I'd put at the bottom.
Regardless of the criticisms of Mullen and his staff, and I think everyone would admit there are legitimate ones there, it is a massive luxury, especially for a program like ours, to know you are going to have good QB play going forward. Other schools get highly-ranked QBs and have no idea whether they will bust or not. We don't even have to get highly-ranked QBs, and you know we'll be good there. When we get somebody like Thompson, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion he will be a stud.
Yeah I thought that too, but Fitz isn't near as a polished passer as Dak was in 2015, so our offense won't look much like that team. We have a known at RB and others in the wings that are SEC size. I'm sure we'll try to limit Fitz's exposure on runs too, but with the unknowns at WR we won't be slinging it around.
Greg also stated that MSU has the top dual threat quarterback prospect in the nation on campus already in Key Thompson.
