You guys are always helpful, can you tell us what the latest models are saying in regards to winter precip in Mississippi, specifically the Jackson area, this weekend? Thanks in advance

Check this site out. It is pretty helpful giving weather forecasts. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...8#.WGvdvLYrLm0
10% chance of sleet and Flurries. 100% chance that the grocery stores will run out of bread and milk.
Too early for my liking. In the South, I'm not confident about snow until the day before.
Snow? I'm wearing shorts right now. Guess I'm going to have to get the long handles out.
Even if it does snow, it won't stick. Ground is too hot for it to stick even if it gets cold enough to hit the ground. Should not have any worries in the state of Mississippi considering it will only snow during the night, then get 5-6 degrees above freezing during the day to melt it all away.
Models this morning all over the place. Anywhere from 0"-7" depending on the one you looked at. Don't hold your breath for 7".
Thanks Ref and Vegas.
Definitely possibility but it's still way too early. I'm in Alabama and this morning all the models had measurable snow for me in central Alabama. Latest run of the European that just cam out a little bit ago had almost no snow for the entire state of Alabama.
Still way too early but I think the upper 2/3 of both MS and AL need to be weather aware for the next 4 days and watch how this thing develops.
I am thinking i shall be in the woods hunting with this type of cold front coming in
Hunting Sunday and Monday, I hope this doesn't have an ill effect on that.
The average will probably be a dusting to maybe an inch tops. There may be a small chance of a couple of heavier bands that set up and give a localized amount of two inches or so.
