Another 5* qb that didn't work out at school he signed with. It's remarkable how many don't
Fire up the "wonder if we'll sign him or if he has any interest in msu" train
I think they're going to end up regretting the move to go with Hurts over Barnett.
He's from California. I say he ends up in the pac12
I don't. It's still early but I thinks Hurts could be the real deal. Think about it ... down 24 in Oxford and brings em back to win. Same demeanor whether he makes a good play or bad play. And he looks effortless out there. He just ballin' mane. I think he most likely has the 'IT' factor ... on top of the talent.
Very strange. Bolting in the middle of the season like that makes no sense.
So when does he show up in Oxford?
Yeah, but it's a little different in this case. Alabama has virtually nothing but 5-stars, so he had some competition. He probably signed there expecting to play a lot more, and he did start the first game but that didn't last long ... I think two series of downs.
TUA! TUA! TUA!
Sometimes them 5 stars have 5 star ego's to match. I think we might be seeing that up in ole missy.

I really don't think comparing Sydney to Kelly is the same thing. As much as I hate to say it Kelly is not the disaster we thought he may be. He is not as good as some make him out to be but he certainly isn't the train wreck everybody was hoping for.
Edit to add
Also, QB is very dependent on who coaches them up once they get in school. Scheme etc has to be a fit and they have to have a coach that knows how to develop the QB. Take Nick Marshall for instance, he was great at Auburn but I doubt he has that same kind of success elsewhere it was just a perfect fit. I would much rather have a QB that fits our system that may not have the highest ceiling. You see examples of that every year. I firmly believe had Dak gone to LSU he would not have had near the success he has had here due to the system and coaching he would have received.
